ÇEYİZ

Çeyiz (The dowry) series reimagines lace as an architectural element. In this series, lace is passed down from mother to son, changing the direction of intergenerational transmission. Once carefully preserved, lace is reborn here in a new form, blending into architecture.
These panels made of steel offer a fictional facade proposal for the Migration Museum, which is planned to be established in Amsterdam. This facade symbolizes the preservation of cultural memory, of which lace is a part, and the transfer from generation to generation.
